PROGRAM OF DAYS
DAY 1: ARRIVAL/MONTEROSSO
Afternoon: We will pick you up from the Genoa airport and take you to the Hotel Marina. Arrival in Monterosso, check-in and meeting with the group. Presentation of the program, photographic objectives and techniques we will address during the week. Short walk to familiarize with the village.
Evening: Welcome dinner at a local restaurant, with introduction to Ligurian flavors and a convivial moment to get to know each other.
DAY 2: MONTEROSSO/VERNAZZA/
Morning: Exploration of Monterosso, focusing on architectural details and scenes of daily life. Hands-on workshop on composition techniques.
Afternoon: Transfer to Vernazza. Photography session in the alleys and views from the trail to Corniglia.
Sunset: Shots of Vernazza at dusk, taking advantage of the warm light on the village.
DAY 3: MONTEROSSO/CORNIGLIA/MANAROLA
Alba: Session in Monterosso, perfecting techniques of minimalism and detail. Focus on long exposures and seascapes.
Morning: Visit to Corniglia, the highest village, with focus on landscapes and vineyards.
Afternoon: Transfer to Manarola to work on panoramic shots and village photography.
Sunset: Photo session in Manarola, taking advantage of the striking evening light on the village reflected in the sea.
DAY 4: RIOMAGGIORE/PORTOVENERE
Morning: Transfer to Riomaggiore. Session devoted to contrasts between architecture and landscape.
Afternoon: Excursion to Portovenere to explore the medieval village, the church of San Pietro and Palmaria Island.
Sunset: Shots of Portovenere in the golden light, focusing on the unique perspectives offered by the promontory.
DAY 5: MONTEROSSO/VERNAZZA OR MANAROLA
Alba: Session in Monterosso, focusing on visual storytelling through seascape details.
Morning: Time devoted to reviewing previous shots with hands-on post-production session. Workshop on photo editing and creating a personal portfolio.
Afternoon: Free guided exploration in participants' favorite villages with personalized support.
Sunset: Concluding session in Vernazza or Manarola, group's choice.
DAY 6: MONTEROSSO
Alba: Final photo session in Monterosso (optional) to capture the morning atmosphere.
Morning: Insight into photographic techniques requested by participants. Final walk around Monterosso to capture final details.
Afternoon: Relaxation or personal exploration with individual support available.
Sunset: Concluding session in Monterosso, group's choice.
Evening: Farewell dinner with tasting of local specialties.
DAY 7: EDITING SESSION
This is the day dedicated to processing the shots taken during the previous days. You will learn how to select images to get a collection of shots ready to be displayed in an exhibition or to publish a book.
DAY 8: DEPARTURE
We will drop-off at the Genoa airports.
Travel will be by train to optimize time and maintain focus on photography. The program is designed to ensure a perfect balance of teaching, exploration and relaxation time. The duration of the Italy Photo Tours extends from Monday afternoon to the morning of the following Monday for a total of 8 days and 7 nights. As above is just an outline schedule to let you know how the week is organized, which will surely be different from the previous and the next. So many factors come into play: weather, light, length of days at different times of the year. Therefore, to ensure the best conditions for the excursions to take place, the schedule of days may be subject to change.

Mino Di Vita provided a wonderful mix of photography lessons and tours of areas in and around Milan that tourists seldom visit. In addition, the accommodation was beautiful and well appointed. Mino made us feel like family with a number of home cooked meals and making sure we stopped for other meals “like the locals do.” He quickly assessed our technical and artistic photography skills and honed in on our desire to become better at composition - making a photo rather than just snapping a picture. My wife and I were very pleased with the positive changes in our photography. For any photographer that wants to improve their results, seriously consider this immersive experience.
I was glad that I spotted the Facebook post about this tour. It has been a joy to get to be shown places in the Milan area that we probably would not have found on our own. This statement of truth applies in no small way to the experience my husband & I had working with Mino during a weeklong photo tour of Milan. As a working photographic and media professional with nearly 4 decades of experience, I know quality when I see it, and Mino made it a point to provide the highest of quality at every turn. From the stay at the immaculate, quiet & well stocked apartment "The Pretty Attic", designed by his lovely partner & architect Leecha, to the well tailored & thought out shooting plan, which revealed hidden Milanese gems alongside well known locations, Mino left no stone unturned in making sure we were learning and enjoying our time together. What impressed me the most is the attentiveness he gave to my husband Paul, a Deaf man with a desire to learn photography after seeing me work for so many years. Hi Mino, your one day Milan photo tour was well planned and perfectly timed. You covered all the great spots for photography and even had time for some adhoc ones. I was able to generate a lot of good images from that one day alone and saw a lot of Milan. From the start you were very communicative and easy to reach when I had questions and you were very flexible with my plans. Making the decision take the Italian Tour was the scariest part. Once I get in touch with Mino, every concern, I had disappeared. The answered emails quickly and provided all the information I needed to schedule my trip. One week before the tour he "FaceTime" me and we discussed the weather, tour destinations, food and my expectations. Mino was always checking into to make sure I needed no thing. He tought me italian history, language, art and food. I was invited into his home for dinner where I met his wife . Mino and his wife made me feel at ease- Amazing People! I got to see peacocks, cows, dogs, birds and lizards (Mino knew I loved animals) so he mad every opportunity for me to photograph them. The accommodations that were provided were better than expected, clean, contemporary with plenty of space including a balcony for me to drink my morning coffee. I couldn't have asked for more! Mino provided the entire package - great touring of photographic locations, shopping, food and friendship. Mino made sure I was happy at every turn of the tour. I not only learned about my camera, setting and composition - but about friendship. Would I ever go on another tour with Mino? Yes - he is a great man, photographer and mentor!
